Bonita Public Beach Public Parking Areas
One common question we get in our Bonita Beach office is where are the Public Parking areas for beaches in Bonita Springs? It’s not just common but actually extremely important as well when it comes to making a real estate purchase to ensure public deeded access.
Below you will find the Bonita Beach parking areas from south to north.
Bonita Beach Parking
#0- Barefoot Beach Preserve – There is a fee to get into the park at the gate unless you buy the annual Collier Pass. Take the entrance at Barefoot Beach Boulevard and you will pass multimillion dollar beach homes in order to get you to nature’s preserve at its best. At the far south end you will run into this Beach Parking which is actually consider Naples property.
#1 – 27890 Hickory Blvd – This consists of really 3 bonita beach parking areas nearby Docs Beach House. Situated on both the north and south side of the restaurant. The south end parking has jungle gym for the kids, picnic tables, grills and bathrooms. The north side has covered picnic tables and grills. Great for birthday parties and any kind of gatherings. But get there early if you want to secure your table!
#2 – 9 – These bonita parking areas are all small side street parking on the west side (beach side) of Hickory Blvd between the beach parking #1 (Above) and bonita beach parking #10 (Below). I would personally steer clear of these sites as there are usually only 3-5 spots per location. I suggest only using these parking sites if you get there early in the morning or on the week days (outside of season).
Addresses are as follows for Bonita Public Beach Parking Areas 2-9: 27720 Hickory Blvd. 27494 Hickory Blvd. 27260 Hickory Blvd. 27010 Hickory Blvd. 26786 Hickory Blvd. 26590 Hickory Blvd. 26410 Hickory Blvd. 26220 Hickory Blvd. Bonita Springs, Fl 34134.
#10 – 26082 Hickory Blvd – This bonita beach parking area is located just off Little Hickory Island before the small bridge on the west side. There are two parking lots in this area for public use. They have public restrooms and picnic tables. Also, from this location you can walk the beach to the end of the island where there is a pass and great fishing off of the jettys.
Tips On Parking At Bonita Beach
- Get to the beach early! Especially in high season (Jan-March). I see it all the time which actually causes much of our traffic. Around 10am on cars are in a search to find bonita public beach parking only to find they have to keep going north. Sometimes parking on Lover’s Key or even Fort Myers Beach.
- Increase Your Odds – As mentioned above. I personally would park in areas where there are a lot of beach parking spots. Such as Barefoot Beach, #1 and #10. You increase your odds of people leaving as well.
- Be Patient. I get it! I am a beach guy and want to get out there very quickly. But sometimes it is best to just be patient. Go to one of the suggested spots and see what opens up.
Don’t Forget the Necessities!
Ahhh… You made it! You found your bonita beach parking spot. Just be sure to be proactive before hitting the sand. Be sure to bring sunscreen, umbrellas, towels, chairs, water and snacks! And of course the toys for the kids!
Never Want To Pay For Beach Parking In Bonita Springs?
Simple solution. Do as I did several years back. Invest in beach real estate. It isn’t as expensive as you may think. Also, there are beach condos like Bonita Beach & Tennis Club that you can use as a vacation rental (income producing / 3 day minimum) and use the beach parking and amenities even if you have guests in place.
