Top Things To Do In Bonita Springs
As a long time Realtor and resident of the area, we have uncovered and personally experienced many things to do in Bonita Springs.
Below are our top 30 favorites to do in beautiful Bonita Springs.
Enjoy The Jetties At Big Hickory
The jetties are located at the north end of Bonita Beach. There is parking lot #10 just south of there for public beach parking. From there you can walk to the north end and visit the jetties. Check out the parking link above to explore all Bonita Beach parking including an informational video.
This is a popular destination to explore in Bonita Springs for photo shoots, bird watching, incredible fishing and observing sea life including dolphin, manatee, sea creatures and more.
Also, this area is even popular for surfing as there can sometimes be a nice break depending on the winds and tides. Not bad for the Gulf Coast.
Dip In At Big Hickory Pass
Exploring Big Hickory pass is another great to do in Bonita Springs. This is located just north of the jetties mentioned above.
Here you can relax, sunbathe and read a book. Or explore the tides coming in and out from the Gulf of Mexico.
This is also another fantastic area for fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking.
If you like “lazy rivers” grab a raft or a noodle and let the power of the pass pull you in and out. But be careful as this is also an active pass for boaters.
Big Hickory pass will also attract many boaters on holidays and weekends to anchor up and party. But keep in mind this is a family friendly area.
Chill At The Dog Beach
While in Bonita Springs you must visit the Bonita Dog Beach. Unlike anything you have seen before.
This is a tide sensitive beach where hundreds of pet owners come by car or boat to let their dogs run around and play with others.
Because Bonita Springs doesn’t allow dogs on their beaches, they designated this preserved beach for all of the pet lovers out there.
Be sure to bring water and food for your pets. As well as chairs and everything you need to spend a full day out there for yourselves.
Also, be sure to clean up after you pets! This is what keeps our beaches clean and respectable for generations to come.
Eat, Drink & Enjoy The Beach At Docs Beach House
Docs Beach House is one of a kind in Bonita Springs. This is the only public restaurant directly on the beach in Bonita Springs.
If you like chicken wings, pizza, great people and views then you must check out Docs Beach House.
